  Every inch of me aches

And every cell of my body ,they beg for your presence 

They talk so much,these memories you know ?

Constant bells in my ears they ring , bringing flashes of you

These parts of me 'which cannot let go of you' keep telling me

If only i had been where i am today

Before i met you 

Maybe my cells wouldn't be crying 

Or these memories wouldn't talk so much 

These rings would be mild and soothing

"Your tears don't affect me " chimes on my head

And then i hit the ground of reality 

Of how i could never forgive you

Even if that's the last thing i want 

In between loving you and loving me

I chose myself this time 

After countless times of choosing you 

I chose not to forget those last words

I chose to embrace myself and embody love

I chose love over hate 

I chose detachment over open wounds

I chose to heal 

So someday my tears will matter
